Airbrushed Beauty with Natasha Stone

A few months back I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to shoot some airbrush/creative beauty looks created by the amazing Natasha Stone, Make Up Artist and owner of Paint Professional School of Make Up Artistry. I often shoot the looks created by the students at Paint, but shooting Nat's own work was a first for me.
It is always so great working with such a skilled make up artist, it makes my job so much easier!

We tried out a few different looks with a few different lighting styles to suit, and i LOVE the result. The first images remind me of a beautiful alien, or a futuristic sci-fi girl, and the last images with the Paint splatters and so fun and colourful, and I am in love with purple lips!

If you are interesting in becoming a Make Up Artist yourself, or would just like to improve your own makeup skills, I highly recommend Paint Professional School of Make Up Artistry. The class sizes are small, which allows more one on one time with Natasha herself, and there are a variety of different classes available for a range of skills. If you want to be the best, you have to learn from the best!

Bare Feet and Dirty Knees

Just down the road and around the corner from my house, there is a path that runs through some tall pine trees, which if you stray from it, leads you off into a clearing filled with long, lush grass, a trickling stream, and rows of beautiful cherry blossom trees amongst the usual gum trees. It can look dark and moody if the trees are bare, or bright and magical if the sun is streaming through at the right angle, and the cherry blossoms have bloomed. Unfortunately when they bloom, they don't last long, only a few weeks!
So when i saw the little white flowers starting to emerge, i knew i had to plan a shoot underneath them!

It just so happened that fresh new face from Finesse Models, Kyla, was available that day, and she was perfect for the fun little shoot i had in mind. Stacey Henderickson, designer of the amazing Casper and Pearl label, also brought along some pretty pieces for us to play in from her new collection that has just been released, 'Girl Behind the Blue Door'.

Grand Bazaar Campaign '13

This was the messiest campaign shoot I have worked on so far! But it was great fun to shoot, though gumboots were definitely a must!

Working again for Adelaide Fashion label Alice in La La, I was asked to shoot the campaign for the Adelaide based accessories label, Grand Bazaar. Our main inspiration was the classic 90s movie 'The Craft', so we headed off to a boggy, dark, cold area at the end of the River Torrens to shoot.
Most of the day was overcast, so we had perfect soft, moody light, but at the end of the shoot the sun appeared to give us some amazing shots with beautiful lens flares.

Rhiannon from Rhiannon Miller Video Productions also tagged along, and made a video that is the dreamiest thing i've ever seen! Watch it here:

Sports Luxe with First Light the Label

A few months ago I was lucky enough to be able to work with the Adelaide fashion agency Alice in La La, to shoot their lookbook and campaign images for one of their amazing brands, First Light the Label. I have to say it was one of the funnest campaign shoots i've worked on so far! The story was 'Sports Luxe', so our gorgeous model Clare, Stacey (social media girl for Alice in La La and owner and designer of Casper & Pearl), Rhiannon from Rhiannon Miller Video Production and I spent the day running around a deserted Santos stadium, jumping on the high jump mats and watching imaginary sports games. We then headed off to the basketball courts on North Terrace to shoot some hoops - and this was all in heels!
It was great team to work with, and the results are amazing. I can't wait to work with this label again!
